SMS Consent and Opt-In Process
Invoice Payment Link Text Messages
This page describes how Raynor Garage Doors of Central Nebraska collects consent from customers before sending text messages, and what those text messages contain. It is published so that third-party reviewers, carriers, and customers can verify our opt-in process.
What These Text Messages Are
The only text messages sent through this program are transactional invoice payment links. After a service is completed, a customer who has agreed to receive a text message receives one message containing a secure link to pay their invoice online. We do not use this program for marketing, promotions, appointment reminders, or general customer service.
How We Collect Consent
Consent is collected verbally, in person or by phone, by a Raynor Garage Doors representative during one of the following interactions:
- When a customer schedules service with our office.
- When a technician completes service at the customer’s property.
- When a customer calls our office to ask about an invoice or balance.
During that interaction, the representative reads or paraphrases the following script:
“Would you like us to text you a link to pay your invoice when the work is finished? If yes, what mobile number should we send it to? You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, and standard message and data rates may apply.”
A text message is sent only after the customer verbally agrees and provides their mobile number. If the customer declines, no text message is ever sent and the invoice is delivered by email or paper instead.
Records of Consent
Each opt-in is recorded in our internal customer management system against the customer’s account. The record includes the date of consent, the name of the representative who collected it, and the mobile number the customer provided. These records are available for inspection on request by the customer, by our messaging provider, or by a carrier compliance reviewer.
Message Frequency and Costs
Message frequency is tied to invoice activity. A customer typically receives one text message per completed service, with up to two automated reminders if the invoice remains unpaid. Message and data rates may apply depending on the customer’s mobile carrier and plan.
Opt-Out and Help
A customer may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message received from us. After STOP is received, we send a single confirmation message and stop all further messages to that number. A customer may reply HELP to receive a short message with our company name and support contact information.
No Sharing of Mobile Information
Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent information are used solely to deliver the invoice payment messages described above. We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in information with any third party for marketing purposes. The only third party that receives this information is the messaging service provider we use to deliver the messages on our behalf, and only as needed to deliver those messages.
